The afternoon was warm, the haze of the sun flooding over Morioh with minor distortion just above the streets. A gentle breeze that kicked up every minute or so kept the heat bearable as you spent the afternoon on a casual stroll downtown, being happily accompanied by Mikitaka as you went. He was the least obnoxious of all your friends in Morioh, and you always had the most pleasant of times with him as well.

“Wow, Earth sure is hot at this particular tilt of the axis.” Mikitaka commented, experiencing the most intense heat to ever beat down this summer.

“Yeah, this summer in particular is gonna melt me alive. This heat is insane.” You agreed, fanning yourself with your hand.

“You humans can melt? Perhaps we should find some shade to prevent such a thing from happening due to solar exposure.” Mikitaka offered, looking quite concerned for your safety.

“Oh no, it’s just an expression Miki! I’ll be fine, I promise.” You told him, continuing on down the sidewalk.

“Alright, if you insist _______!” He nodded, trusting your word.

He himself was quite bothered by the heat as much as you were, fanning his loose black tank top against himself to move air around in a cooling motion. He must be used to much cooler temperatures, but seemed to handle these conditions well. Hell, you couldn’t imagine anyone being able to stay comfortable in this heat, but Mikitaka’s company made it bearable with constant conversation that kept you happily engaged. It was always about stars and other intergalactic things, which were your favourite topics to talk about. He was the only one you ever bonded with because of this.

His self proclaimed extraterrestrial origins were always fascinating to you, and you were always ready to hear everything he had to say about it. You liked to believe his statements on being alien. Your agreements always made him happy, and though there was no direct evidence that he was alien, there was no solid evidence that he wasn’t either. He may not be able to see your stand, but he was very capable of morphing into virtually every object possible. That was the cool part about him. Well, everything about him was incredible to you, alien or not. That’s why you spent most of your time with him, always talking about the stars above and other worlds.

“Hey Mikitaka, since it will be a much more bearable temperature tonight, could you come stargazing with me again? There’s supposed o be a meteor shower.” You asked him innocently, your blush being the result of more than just the heat.

He instantly perked up upon hearing that, offering a large smile. “Of course! I love stargazing with you!” He nodded, the tips of his ears turning pink.

“A-awesome! Just stick around with me until night comes then. We could catch a movie before sunset as well if you want.” You offered.

“Everything is enjoyable with you _______. We can do whatever you want as long as we get to see the stars.” He said cheerily with a warm smile.

You smiled back at him, so very happy that you met him. “Let’s go get some ice cream then to beat the heat. Ice cream not made from your fingers though.” You specified, chuckling a little.

He had to laugh with you, agreeing to keep literal finger foods out of the picture as you both walked on towards your favourite ice cream shop. On your way there though, the faint sound of a siren could be heard, growing closer at a very rapid rate. A small amount of panic welled up inside you as your expression became worried, knowing very well what would happen if they got close enough.

And, almost if your thoughts were a curse, two ambulances turned a corner and ripped down the street, sirens blaring loudly as they skidded to a stop in front of a nearby apartment, leaving their sirens on. Almost immediately Mikitaka’s skin became red and hives broke out from the piercing sirens, fluctuating on sound levels that caused him to be in what looked to be intense agony. This allergic reaction seemed to be worse than any of the ones before, pain ripping through his expression as he keeled over onto the sidewalk, knees barely supporting him as screams of agony left his lips. You were now in full panic mode, dropping down beside him and trying to cover his ears to bloc out the sound long enough to escort him away from the noise.

“T-that won’t help. I-it’s the frequency too. It b-burns- agh!” Mikitaka stammered out to you, hardly getting his words through his pained groans.

“Ah, I-I…” ou stuttered, trying to think of something to say or do that would help. He was so strained, and you swore it looked like something inside of him would tear, fear taking you over now. “T-turn into a freakin’ ring! NOW!” You screamed, thoughts turning into panicked words.

Through many disgruntled groans and yells of pain. Mikitaka manage to turn himself into a golden ring, obeying your command as best he could. Rapidly, you slid him onto the ring finger of your right hand and stood up, taking a mad dash down the street at top speed, your stand providing the needed assistance to double your average running speed and send you flying down the street. Zipping through Morioh the sound of the sirens died out as fast as they had come, you having made your way to one of the zen gardens where rippling waters replaced the ghastly noise. Panting, you took Mikitaka off of your finger and set his ring form on the grass, having picked a nice corner surrounded by green bushes for you both to recover.

“I… I got you away from there. Please be okay.” You huffed, still a little out of breath.

The small ring wiggled before morphing back into how Mikitaka was supposed to look, the hives already gone as he sat on the grass panting, his skin tone returning to the normal pale colour it always was instead of being the angry red it used to be before. He looked to be in much better shape now, and you gave a shaky sigh of relief through worried eyes.

“I think I’m okay now. Yes, thank you for getting me away from there _______.” He said graciously, deeply appreciating your efforts. “That is just the most horrid sound I’ve ever heard.”

Shaking a little you lurched forward and pulled him into a tight hug, so relieved that he was no longer in pain. “You really scared me there for a second! I order you to find a way to prevent your allergic reaction from happening. That one was really bad, and it scared me. I don’t want you to get hurt or die on me because of that stupid sound.”

Mikitaka gave a quiet chuckle of content happiness. “Though it is possible, I promise I won’t die. I will strive to find a way to ease my reactions.” He said sincerely.

“Good. I care about you a lot. You’re the closest person to me and… I don’t know what I’d do without you.” You said quietly, squeezing him a little tighter.

“I care very much for you too _______... Wait, no. I promise I’ll stay safe because I care about you so much that I, oh, what’s the word… Ah, love! Yes, I love you _______. I don’t want you to worry.” He confessed to you.

Hearing that made your eyes pop wide open as a crimson blush swept across your cheeks. “M-Mikitaka you, you love me?!” You repeated, leaning back far enough to look at his face.

He smiled down at you brightly, pink invading his own cheeks as well as he nodded yes. “I do. You always hear my stories and make me very happy no matter what we do! I like being around you, and you worry for my safety and well being. I really like you so much that I love you _______.” He told you with pure honesty. “Do… Do you love me too?”

He didn’t even need to ask that for you to answer him, your heart already melting with emotions. “I-I do, Miki. Y-you’re the only one I’ve strangely connected with. I love your stories and everything about you. I… I love you too. I want you to be safe and happy.” You answered as well, quite embarrassed but wanting him to know you shared his feelings deeply.

The smile he gave could melt the polar icecaps, happiness radiating from him like crazy, as if he had discovered an entire new galaxy in you and you only. The stars were in his eyes, cheeks glowing as he gazed at you dreamily.

“-I’m always happy when I’m with you _______.” He repeated sweetly with such an adorable hint of innocence. “Then, is it alright if I kiss you?” He asked, having already leaned in a little closer as he took small glances at your lips.

“You don’t even need to ask.” You breathed, generously accepting his request and leaning in towards him to capture his lips with yours.

Almost as if a dream had come true you relished in the sweet feeling of his lips against yours, his being thin yet surprisingly soft as you gently nuzzled your nose against his. Reaching up you carefully wound your fingers in his platinum locks, pushing loose strands of hair that fell over his face behind his pointed ears before sliding your hands down to rest at his shoulders, leaving many sweet and nimble kisses on his lips as his own hands settled at your waist.

He was surprisingly skillful at his kisses as well, pulling you in close as he made sure not to knock out his nose ring and chain with the many maneuvers he was pulling. He clearly had practise with this before, your heart pounding strong against your ribcage as every little kiss had a spark. In the midst of the action you had ended up making quiet gasps and little moans of happiness, reacting positively to his skill. You could feel him smiling in an extended kiss, a tiny chuckle being heard in the back of his throat in reaction to your little sounds.

You both eventually pulled away, Mikitaka lingering for a bit as another smile cracked on his face. You remained close, noses touching as you stared at each other lovingly.

“Those were the best sounds I’ve heard all day.” He said slyly, making reference to the inklings of noise you let slip moments ago.

“M-Mikitaka!” You scolded lightly, blush covering your cheeks from his comment. “You’re learning from Josuke, aren’t you?” You giggled.

“I’ve heard a couple things~” He admitted with his own happy chuckle, pulling you in close for another warm hug.

“You’re such a sweet dork.” You mumbled, nuzzling into his chest as you held his embrace, a wave of happiness washing over you as your breathing calmed alongside his.

This was the sound you wanted to hear. The sound of calm breathing, of his safety, of his heartbeat going strong in your arms.

But the sweetest sound of all,

“I love you Miki.” You whispered.

Were the words he would always tell you.

    “I love you too, _______.”

I just want my alien bab to be loved. He is so sweet and I love him. Let this precious noodle bask in my love through writing.
